The mix of colors combined with the way in which the figure blends into its surroundings really gives familiar apparition by ~sesfittsa deliciously ghostly feel. ( Suggested by BlackCarrionRose and Featured by oilsoaked )

aah it seems we are haunted by the same hooded lady.:) I can see why you like my piece Dream Regent when I look back at your old work and see some familiar symbols. She's appeared alot in your work, is there any direct symbolism on your behalf or does she just 'appear'?

I know that's how it goes with me. I paint random swirlies and out pops wings and hooded ladiesXD

Like the birds, I seem compelled to draw or paint them sometimes. I am still trying to figure out what they mean. I have ideas of what they symbolize:belief; spirit; memory; something metaphysical, otherworldly. I am still exploring what they truly are. Ha! I think it funny the cloak is usually a symbol of obscurity or hiding. Thinking about this helps me realize I kind of like the enigma of the figures and probably would be ok if I never figured out their true meaning.

I know what you mean. I'm the same way with my figures. I used to get really frustrated trying to explain them during class critiques and have finally realized recently that I like that they resemble one thing or the other, but that we can never truly understand them, which I think why they fascinate us so.
