I know this is going to sound picky but I really like that broken bit on the right side of the bird just as the dark part of the breast begins. For some reason I find that little bit very effective.

It is not being picky. That little broken bit helps the drawing not be so static. It gives the image a sense of energy.
I have been known for being too stiff, statuesque, or stale in my artwork (sometimes I still am!) and so I try to be conscious of leaving stray marks or make energetic brushstrokes to help lessen the chance of a stale, stiff, boring image.
