The way you draw wings is stunning, and I like the subtle circle around the head that draws you into that part of the picture. I'm finding the background very intriguing too, when I first saw it I thought the gnarled bit looked like an eye, or something of the sort.

The thought with the background was to abstract it to an almost nonfigurative state with mottled marks and colors allowing the viewer to "fill in" what might go there.
