Spirit Guide: Rabbit by SethFitts Spirit Guide: Rabbit by SethFitts

I have been working on illustrations for a book project (cannot post them yet) and needed to take a break. I have mentioned that I take "breaks" from major projects to keep from getting "stuck". It is difficult to explain but it helps get other energies out and seems to keep the "creative juices" flowing; keeps the process from getting stale.

Mixed media on watercolor paper

I am working my way to show work in CA. A show in the Laguna Beach area would be very cool.

That would be fantastic! There are a surplus of really great gallery's out here and my school actually hosts gallery's as well, last quarter it was Rodin's statues, this quarter it's blizzard entertainment's paintings.

again, I really like the shading. The way you use that technique really clicks with me. 90% of it is so gloomy, but when I focus on the face, it is just the opposite. Inquisitive and mysterious with a certain amount of optimism injected due to the lightened colors.

Oh Donnie Darko.

Syfy made a version of Alice in Wonderland (you may have seen it). The March Hare is an assassin named Mad March and I swear I thought others in the White Rabbit gang called him Frankie. It could be something I fabricated in my mind too...

sorry, what what is the march hare? is that from the alice and wonderland syfi show?

Sorry!
The March Hare was at the tea party with the Mad Hatter (in the book and movie[s]). In the SYFY version he has a big white rabbit head (like a mask)... easier to show you than explain [link] .
You can see what he looked like in the "White Hare's Mad March" video.

Very dark. Unlike your usual style, which is pretty light and see-able. I like it, though. The deep green color is very calming.

I had made a dark rabbit for a project I am working on with another deviant, *3-legged-dog , and liked the obscurity of it. I then tried another rabbit (this one you see) but approached it a little differently.

Ah, it has not been by choice. I get busy and side tracked and the next thing I know, so much time has gone by. I need to get another copy of the book and re-read it.

Time does flee, it's true. Faster every year.
You should, the book is educational every time, not to mention a joy.
