First, the colors are very complimentary of one another. It's very pleasing to the eye how you integrate and develop varying hues within the palette. I also enjoy how you use negative space to balance the composition. Although I love the white dot of eye, I feel it a bit too stark for the mutation of colors you've chosen. I would suggest toning it down just a tad to better integrate with the overall design. As it stands now, it seems to protrude as a detachment, or a last minute addition vs. a smooth integration of overall style and layout.

I know it needs something to balance but I'm uncertain the black swoop of line is the thing to do it. I personally feel it, in combination with the signature, detracts a bit too much from this priceless little treasure.

As always, enjoy and look forward to your posts.

If you are referring to the veins in the paint, it is from the pulling of the paint during the monotype process.
Thank you!

I love the way the paint seems like veins, or vines. Makes for a really neat effect.

I'm liking it too. I have done some more and think the veins work best as tree forms.
Thank you!

Ooh, tree forms would work well, indeed. Also nightmare creatures, I imagine.

Yes I am looking at some more monotypes and deciding what direction to go with them. Nightmare creatures may not be a bad idea.
Thanks!

I love this! The way the colors blend and mellow together, and the texture is amazing! I really like the semi circle shape, and how the bird flows out of it. The bright white eye is a bit distracting, though. Excellent work!
