This is my first critique, so don´t mind.
It´s really intreting idea, to make the color, and the the lines. When i first saw this picture, i sure catched my eye. It´s something so original that haven´t seen the same before. The color is awesome, but i wish that there could be some background. Other things that crossed my mind were, that is this picture a photo? I think it´s nothing really important but many scanners make picture´s look better. Whether it´s photo or scan i have to say that there aren´t really many things i can but as a minus on this picture. I think you have done awesome job and i hope to see more of your art in near future.
What do you think?

love that your negative space is textural, soft and full of meaning. the leading edge and shadow in the lower right quadrant washing away in the blue above--bleeding into the negative space--further enlivens while the composition remains simple and elegant. the single point of the pure white paper eye is extremely satisfying and makes a profound moment out of your well imagined blue bird.

omg! i did not expect this!.... i have been searching for an artwork which speaks to me like no other, maybe its because i see myself as a bird and my significant other as he color blue and that speaks volumes in itself, im sorry if its disturbing on some level, but im mesmerized and that it has influenced me on a level where such things seem trivial is a course on logical-ism in itself.

So simple, yet so fascinating. I think it's the color choice that really draws me to the image, then the texture. I don't usually browse traditional art on Deviantart (I have no knack for it whatsoever, so I'm more interested in digital), but I'm glad I saw this, and you're other work. : )

What colors did you mix to get such an awesome blue??

I have been very surprised at the response this little bird has received. Thank you!!!
If I remember correctly, I used Manganese Blue and possibly some Phthalo Turquoise made by Golden acrylic paints. I cannot remember the ratios, though it looks like I had a bit more Phthalo Turquoise.
