Have you thought about doing children's books? I just love all of your "characters."

Why, yes I have thought about it. I have been trying to get into that field for a long time.
New author Amy Tietgen and I have published a children's book with an independent publisher earlier in 2013: Birds I've met through the Alphabet. There is another book in the works and I have some ideas of my own that I would like to see published.
I am pleased you like my work. Thank you!

Oh! I just found it on Amazon. It looks awesome!
I have a new baby cousin born into a family of literature and art lovers.
Might just have to add it to her growing collection. Can't wait to see the next one.

And you're welcome, always a pleasure. :)

I don't have much of an explanation. A lot of it is trial and error by just doing, doing a lot.
It's a back and forth process of building highlights, applying layers of glazes of color, shadowing, and rebuilding highlights and repeating steps until I get to a place in the work where I am pleased (momentarily).
Thank you!
