wow, this looks great! How do you press the paint on the paper? Do you use your hands/fingers, or another tool?
Good job!

It is a paper to paper technique for this piece. I apply paint to one surface and then press the painted surface and another piece of paper together. Once I have sufficiently pressed the paper, I then separate the paper being careful of where I pull from to achieve the desired effect.

Thank you much!!!

Thanks for the explanation. I think I'll try doing that. It makes a beautiful effect.

It is almost like making "ink blots" [link] but instead of one page folded in half it is two pages pressed together. Good luck!

Ok, wow! Your Daily Devation drew me to browse the rest of your gallery, and I'm happy that I did. Your work has a lovely feel to it, and I can tell that you enjoy what you do, that really comes across. I try to just pick a few deviations from a gallery when I watch someone rather than fav-bombing (because there's no way I'm not watching you, bud), and it was really difficult to settle on the ones that I did. I chose this one because I think it's a good example of how you manage to create a lot with only a little. Those paint texture branches are so simple, but add so much life and charm. I just love it. I can't wait to see more!

Ramble comment end.

I love the simplicity. It shows that you don't need to fill every corner of the page to make work look good. I love the colour you used, it's really pretty <3

The texture of these pieces always blows me away - almost like leaf veins. How fitting for a tree. ^__^ The vivid colour is perfect, wonderfully fall-like. Lovely piece!

Thank you very much! This was originally going to be a Christmas ornament but I could not bring myself to punch a hole into the image.
