I asked my wife what she wanted for Christmas.
" I want a painting.", she said.
So she got one. This was actually finished on Xmas Eve!
I typically do not do portraits but I added her likeness so as to have a reason to put her hair in the piece. She's not vain but she does like her hair. The iconic imagery is to represent the person's likes, character, personality, etc.
Mixed media on board (acrylics, pastels, graphite pencil, charcoal, leaves, and acrylic medium)
Approximately 24x48 inches
